Just a few days after making headlines with their mosh pit-inducing Coachella set, Sydney hardcore band SPEED have announced a massive Australian tour.
The band’s most recent national tour took place from January to March, selling out every date on the 17-date run. They said of selling out the whole tour, “17/17 SOLD OUT SHOWS ACROSS AUSTRALIA… THAT WAS A 100% AUSTRALIAN HC TOUR. Today, the band announced another tour Down Under for July and August.
Set to be joined by Thai outfit Whispers and Newcastle hardcore band Feel The Pain, the tour finds SPEED headlining 18+ and all-ages shows in Queensland, New South Wales, the ACT, Victoria, South Australia, and Queensland. You can find all the dates and venues below.
A “no barricade mosh pit” tour, the shows also mark SPEED’s last dates in Australia for 2025. If you thought their last tour sold out quickly, tickets to this one will be snapped up even faster. Tickets will go on sale on Thursday, 17 April, at 9 am local time via the band’s website.
In addition to their Coachella weekend one and two performances, SPEED are touring across the US in May with Whispers.
SPEED honour the roots of hardcore while moving the sound forward, tackling subjects like marginalisation, critiques of the government, and finding love and loyalty through the Sydney hardcore punk scene. Listening to them and watching them perform, it’s little wonder why they took home the ARIA Award for Best Hard Rock or Heavy Metal Album with their debut album, ONLY ONE MODE, last year.
