Former NYC mayor and Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani told conservative pundit and host Eric Bolling on the latter’s X show Friday that he still has concerns about the Justice Department and the FBI, even under President Donald Trump and his administration.
The former New York City mayor said that while he has been happy with changes at the Justice Department, he still has major problems with the “crooked” FBI and some personnel choices made by Kash Patel and Pam Bondi.
Giuliani also complained that when he called to get an explanation for what is going on, nobody responded or called him back.
“I want to know why,” he said. “They say there’s an explanation for it. It better be damn good.”
The conversation began when Bolling made note of the civil case in which Giuliani was found to have defamed two Georgia election workers.
“The last I read was that they finally backed off and said you can keep your Manhattan apartment, you can keep your World Series rings, yeah, I mean it was insane what they were doing to you,” Bolling said. “And by the way, the reason why I brought this up in the break, we were talking about the way they’ve treated [Steve Bannon] and Peter Navarro as well. So talk to us a little bit.”
Giuliani replied:
I get a lot of sympathy and a lot of support, and there’s no question I was beaten up pretty bad. But my friends, Steve and Peter Navarro, much worse being put in jail. I mean, four months in jail? How about putting leg irons on Peter Navarro?
I must have arrested 5,000 people. I probably used leg iron once or twice. I can’t even recall it. It’d would probably have to have been a five times murder. That was just done because the FBI is crooked.
And I’m very upset now because Kash Patel and Pam Bondi have taken one of the people that was running the unit going after Catholics in the Justice Department, and also going after J6 people, and put them in charge of the Washington office of the FBI.
And I tried to reach them today. They didn’t call me back. I want to know why. They say there’s an explanation for it. It better be damn good.
Bolling responded, “So tell us, do you think Kash and Pam are doing the job that we are doing? I do.”
Giuliani concluded, “I, up until now, I was over the top enthusiastic, particularly by the Justice Department. Wow, the Justice Department did a great job. So I’m going to assume there’s a reason for this that I don’t know.”
