    A Career Retrospective’ Australian Tour

More The Church More The Church

As The Church prepare for a huge US tour this July and August, they’ve proved that they haven’t forgotten their fans at home. Today, the beloved Australian band have announced a massive national tour for this November.

Billed as The Singles Tour: A Career Retrospective, the band are set to perform 20 of their classic singles from across their storied career. That’s right, you’ll be hearing Under The Milky Way, The Unguarded Moment, Reptile, Tear it All Away, When You Were Mine, Almost With You, Electric Lash, It’s No Reason, Already Yesterday, Columbus, Tantalized, Metropolis, The Hypnogogue, and stacks more.

The tour begins in Frankston on Thursday, 6 November, before the band heads to Barwon Heads, Melbourne, Canberra, Perth, Wollongong, Sydney, Tweed Heads, Brisbane, and the Sunshine Coast and wraps up in Adelaide on Sunday, 30 November. Check out all the dates and venues below.

Pre-sale tickets to the forthcoming tour will be available on Wednesday, 9 April, at 10 am local time before the general sale opens on Friday, 11 April, at 10 am local time. Punters will be able to purchase tickets via the Metropolis Touring website.

In February 2023, The Church released their first album in six years, The Hypnogogue. Last March, they released a companion album, Eros Zeta And The Perfumed Guitars, and expanded on the former album’s science fiction themes.

Frontman Steve Kilbey said of the former LP, “The Hypnogogue is set in 2054, a dystopian and broken-down future. Invented by Sun Kim Jong, a North Korean scientist and occult dabbler, it is a machine and a process that pulls music straight out of dreams.”
